Viscous Clutch

Speed-sensitive coupling that transfers torque based on the rotational speed difference between input and output. Used in center differentials and AWD systems for passive torque distribution.

Speed-sensitive coupling that transfers torque based on the rotational speed difference between input and output shafts. Uses viscous fluid shear to progressively lock when slip is detected. Commonly used in center differentials and AWD systems for passive, proportional torque distribution.
